Hello, I’m Kathryn.
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Relational Integrative Psychotherapy from the University of Central Lancashire. My studies have included a variety of theories that aim to look at the client’s relationship with others, but begin with the relationship with the self.
I aim to provide a warm, empathic environment, where the client is given the space to explore their experience of their life.
I have worked extensively with individuals who have suffered some form of trauma in their life, whether in their recent or distant past, and utilise therapy models that are focused on stabilisation, narrative, and moving on.
In addition to my private practice, I work on a voluntary basis for The Wish Centre, Blackburn, providing counselling to victims of domestic violence. I also have worked with Trust House Lancashire, a Preston-based charity that offers therapeutic services to victims of sexual violence and abuse.
In my spare time I am an avid reader, a box-set binger, and a bit of an arty-crafty type. I enjoy getting out into the beautiful countryside of Blackburn and Darwen, making good use of my waterproofs and wellies.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
